NB: I'm moving in 2 days and spent most of today scrubbing the new apartment in 90-degree heat, so if this one reads a little extra manic... that's why.
I think the fic posted in time, but I'm sure this will be just a little late, lol.

Just posted At the Club to the A03 collection. missdavis tagged me with "Sit down.", which reminded me of this post over on Tumblr.  First time writing in this verse, hope you all enjoy it!

Here is my fic resulting from Red_Scudery's prompt "There's not enough room," which allowed me to combine two of my favorite things, Johnlockary and angst.

Title: Searchin' For My Mainline (version 1)
Verse: BBC, Appalachian AU, The Bone Fiddle series
Pairing: Sherlock Holmes/John Watson, John Watson/His Hand, Sherlock Holmes/Past Others
Rating: Explicit
Word Count: 2865
Content/Tags: Alternate Universe, Historical - 1960s, Historical - 1970s, Appalachia, New York City, erotic photographs, Voyeurism, Exhibitionism, Masturbation, Crossdressing, Lingerie, Leather

Prompt, by [personal profile] hiddenlacuna, was "FAQ." Got some questions answered anyway...

Summary: John thought house-sitting for Mrs Hudson would be simple and straightforward, but he wasn't expecting the truth-bomb she left him from Sherlock's New York past. After gorging himself on that gorgeous visual feast, he has to get a grip on himself before confronting Sherlock about it.

Unbeta'd, written in less than 24 hours for come_at_once. HiddenLacuna prompted me with "FAQ." Well, there are some frequently asked questions answered here - and some rare ones as well. This is a rough trade draft and I think it's going to fit into a longer work I have in mind in the Bone Fiddle universe (ongoing BBC AU verse set in Appalachia in the 1970s).

Title comes from "Sister Ray" by the Velvet Underground. The inside of Sherlock's head sounded just like this in those days.
