Summary: John’s master has been frustrated of late, finally John knows why.
Excerpt: He ranted two evenings prior, raged, driven to distraction by the ennui, by John sitting idly, whittling one of his wooden figurines, complacent, uncaring. Until finally John had set aside his knife and unfinished carving and had bellowed back at him, eyes flashing and Sherlock had felt exultant, alive and bright right up until the moment when John had stormed out into the gathering dusk, a sour curse on his lips and an unspoken threat of an evening at the tavern, a pretty wench on each knee.
